About the role
We are looking for an energetic and result-driven (Senior) Process Engineer to strengthen our Manufacturing and Development team in Espoo. You will execute, plan and develop waveguide manufacturing related tasks performed mainly in the cleanroom environment.
The position requires frequent traveling to our manufacturing partners sites in Europe and Asia, and collaborating with them while ramping up the manufacturing processes for waveguide manufacturing. The traveling pace is approximately 2 weeks every 8 weeks (25%; 2 weeks traveling, 6 weeks home. Numbers can vary by project needs). In the manufacturing partner sites, you would be the expert guiding them on-site with technical knowhow on how their respective processes should be developed to satisfy Dispelix product needs.
The candidate must have in-depth knowledge in Nanoimprint lithography.
What you will do:
Manufacture novel, state-of-the-art Dispelix AR optical waveguides, mainly by bringing internally developed processes to partners
Participate in customer projects
Closely collaborating with internal teams to keep the pole position in manufacturing the best see-through displays
Reporting own work: using e.g. power point, excel, word
What you bring:
Experience in micro- and nanofabrication
Experience in working in a cleanroom environment
Comfortable with hands-on micro- and nanofabrication in cleanroom environment
Comfortable leading internal and external development projects
Fluent in English – both written and spoken
Talent for paying attention to details
Beneficial skills:
Chinese language – spoken communication
Experience in characterization tools such as ellipsometry, SEM, AFM
Experience in fabrication processes such as thin-film coating, dry etching, photolithography, wet processing, Ebeam lithography and/or talbot lithography
Micro- and nanophotonics understanding
High volume manufacturing or production ramp-up experience
Capability to handle and process sensitive samples
Good communication and organization skills
